Short version: we count visits, we do not track people, and we keep only what you type into the enquiry form. There are no accounts and no sign-in.

Contact

For any question about this page, or a request about your data, write to us through the contact form — it is the only channel this site uses for that.

What we collect

Visit statistics. We use Plausible Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not follow individual people from page to page or from day to day. It keeps no profile of you and does not store your IP address. We see totals only: which pages are read, roughly where from, and on what kind of browser.

The enquiry form. If you write to us through the form, we receive what you entered: your email address, your message, the type of request and the tracer or topic you named. The form also records which page of this site you opened it from. The form is handled by Netlify Forms and delivered to the owner's mailbox; a copy stays in the Netlify form inbox until we delete it.

Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any host, it may record technical details of a request, such as IP address, browser type and time, for security and to keep the service running. Typefaces and scripts other than the analytics script are served from this site itself.

What we do not do

No cookies. No accounts. No advertising, no profiling, no tracking of individual visitors. We do not sell data and we do not pass it to third parties for their own use.

The providers named above (Plausible and Netlify) handle data only to run the site for us.

Why we may process it, in EU terms

For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the legal bases are these.

  • Visit statistics and hosting: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in knowing which parts of the index are used and in keeping the site secure and running. No cookies are used and no personal profile is built, so the effect on you is small. You can object at any time.
  • Enquiries: our legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f)) and, where you ask about a supply or a service, taking steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b)).

How long we keep it

Visit statistics are aggregate and hold nothing about you personally.

An enquiry sent through the form is deleted from the Netlify form inbox 12 months after you sent it. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict its use, to receive it in a portable form, or to stop processing it. You can withdraw a request to be contacted at any time. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

To use any of these rights, or to have an enquiry deleted, write to us through the form and choose “Privacy, deletion or takedown request”. Tell us the email address you used and roughly when. We answer within one month. It costs nothing.

Where data goes

Plausible is an EU-based service. Netlify is a US company, so a form submission or a server log may be handled outside your country. We rely on those providers to keep the safeguards their own terms describe, such as standard contractual clauses.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
